Birthday Trip To Singapore

January 20, 2024

I celebrated my birthday a couple months ago in Singapore. I kid you not, there is no place like Singapore. It is unique, thrilling, exotic, beautiful, touristy, and so much more. The shopping and restaurant scene is unmatched.

We were here for four days and here’s a few things we did:

  1. Marina Bay Sands Mall – This shopping mall is a haven. In my earlier posts, I’ve mentioned I’m a big fan of visiting high-end malls. Reason being I view them as a gigantic museum of designer stores. I enjoy window shopping most of the time and going into the stores where I can actually afford to buy stuff. I highly recommend checking this place out when you visit Singapore. It’s worth it and isn’t to shabby to take amazing photos in front of!

  2. High Tea – There is a restaurant in the mall with a quaint tea garden that gets a decent amount of foot traffic. Sachin and I decided to add this to our day’s to-do list. We thoroughly enjoyed our high tea experience- a vegetarian selection of sandwiches, scones, and macarons. Their variety of teas are impressive so I recommend going here if you’re into mid-day high teas (and macarons!).

  3. The Mondrian Hotel – We stayed here and the staff is incredibly hospitable and kind. They were also generous enough to a) decorate our room with birthday decorations and included a cake with a sweet birthday card and b) gifted my baby (9 months at the time) an adorable little robe and slippers. It was too cute. Apart from the amazing hospitality, the actual hotel is relatively new with several entertainment options including a nightclub connected to the hotel itself. It also has a breakfast buffet that transitions into pretty attractive fine dining restaurant in the evening hours. The best thing about this hotel is that it seems to attract an equal number of outsiders to its premises. Almost feels like staying in prevents any sort of FOMO.

  4. Paragon Shopping Center – The shopping here is pretty great. It’s situated on Orchard Road, home to a ton of other shops, cafes, bars, etc. Super touristy so you will probably run into all walks of life here alone!
