Prioritizing Me-Time and Why It’s Important!

Are you a mother who spends most of her time taking care of her kid(s) and working a 9-5 job? Someone who feels like she doesn’t have time to herself.

I’ve been there. It’s a gut-wrenching feeling thinking your me-time is slipping out of your hands. Time is priceless… as well as spending time with your little one(s). It’s so important to find a way to balance all three (work, children and YOU!) without getting burnt out.

The time you get to yourself when you come home after an exhausting work day, feed your kiddos and put them to bed is essentially your me-time. This is the time for you to indulge in self-care or a relaxing hobby.

What is it that you like/want to do that you enjoy that helps you get your mind off things? Take this quiz to find out what hobby you should partake in!

The first year of motherhood for me was tough… and physically draining. I know it sounds like I’m complaining BUT I think it’s imperative for women who are very much vested in their children to take a step back and realize that taking care of themselves is equally important.

At this point, I am a year and a half into motherhood and while it’s still fresh in my mind- the first 6 to 8 months was tiring. This is when I was of course recovering, breastfeeding, and resting whenever I got a chance. I didn’t partake in much self-care nor hobby (which was mostly the reason of my postpartum).

Anyway, fast-forward to now, I find total solace in writing about my experiences as a new mom in this blog- where I provide advice for women who have recently entered motherhood. I know I’ve only been a mom for 1.5 years BUT being that the experience is fresh and I feel sharing my own experiences will help other moms along their journey.

So… take the time to focus on doing something you enjoy doing to maintain a well-balanced life (people are usually inspired by those who exude happiness and content no matter how busy they are with their own lives. )
