As a somewhat-new mom, I’ve learned that it’s SO important to carry certain things in my bag. It’s like my survival kit & first aid kit on the go.
Here’s a peek inside my everyday mom bag— what I actually carry around with me… no joke. I’m sure most moms and women can relate.
Dry lips, dry cuticles, flyaways… Vaseline is that girl. I always keep a little tub in my bag just in case.
A lot of times I’m running on barely any sleep.. which means red, tired eyes. These my go-to eyedrops that help make me feel normal again.
3. Nivea
I swear by Nivea.. It’s perfect for dry hands or a quick hydration touch-up, especially during colder months.
4. A Bold Red Lipstick
Because even when I’m running on fumes, a red lip makes me feel put together. It’s my emergency confidence boost.
5. Lip Balm
Red lipstick is for power moments—chapstick is for survival. I literally feel incomplete if I don’t have one with me.
6. Perfume Sample
Tiny but very useful. I love tossing in a perfume sample for a quick refresh before heading into a store, appointment or lunch.
7. Kleenex
With the amazing allergies that people are prone to during pollen season, these are a necessity. My allergies get so bad and I become irritated and miserable. Plus helpful with kids too.
8. My Wallet
I mean obviously.
9. Rubber Bands
My hair is super long and always in my way so these are a lifeline.
10. Hand Sanitizer
I’m a bit of a germophobe. Since COVID, I’ve become obsessed with sanitizing my hands and my kids’ hands.
11. Teething Rings / Rattle
Babies and tots need 24/7 entertainment and these go a long way with my kids and they are a lifesaver.
12. Sunglasses
Not just for blocking the sun— but for hiding my tired “mom” eyes. And also for pretending I’ve got it all together lol.
13. My Phone
It’s my camera, grocery list, baby tracker, and work-from-anywhere tool all in one. Literally can’t function without it.
14. Keys
If I had a dollar for every time I dug around in a panic thinking I lost them… I’d be rich. But yes, they do live somewhere in my bag.
So there you have it.. my current what’s in my mom bag essentials. It’s a mix of beauty, baby, and just-in-case must-haves that keep me (and my little ones) moving through the day.
What’s in your bag these days? Let’s swap tips.. because if there’s one thing we moms do well, it’s be overly prepared for everything.
